Since I’ve moved to Berlin I’ve been doing Shellac every other week. Shellac is a nail polish that is dried under UV light and lasts much longer than a regular nail polish. Much longer. My nails are thin and unhappy and regular polishes rarely looks nice more than 2 days. At the same time it is not as thich as the gel that I tried previously when I lived in Stockholm. For me the Shellac looks perfect for up to two weeks, and it’s such a relief to not have to do your nails every other day. I’ve found a little place near my apartment where I can get it done for 15 EUR (!!). Perfection in 35 min. The only downside is that there aren’t too many nice colors to choose from, no Chanel-ish hues. It’s more black, red, burgundy or taupe. Basta. But it works! And I highly recommend it.

5 favorites for the nails

Chanel Rouge Noir, Essie Luxedo, Chanel Black Satin, Deborah Lippmann I Love the Nightlife, Essie Matte about you

1. Chanel Rouge Noir (så klart)
2. Essie Luxedo – mörk mörk plommonfärg
3. Chanel Black Satin – klassiker

Despite light grey/greige trends for nails at the moment, I prefer darker shades for fall and winter, with the exception for a really nice nude shade (haven’t found a favourite yet, either they are too pink, too sheer or too yellowish), does anyone have a great suggestion for this? Anyway, here’s my fall favorites for the nails:

  1. Chanel Rouge Noir (of course)
  2. Essie Luxedo – deep plum
  3. Chanel Black Satin – classic
  4. Deborah Lippmann I Love the Nightlife – gorgeous glitters for glamming it up
  5. Matte nails – Another thing that I really like this season is the matte nails. Essie’s Matte about You is a top coat that turns all nail polishes into matte. Especially paired with Chanel Black Satin it’s a real killer and gives a rubber-like impression.

A delayed Chanel frenzy…

I wasn’t too convinced when I saw the first pictures of Chanel’s latest hyped nail polish, Frenzy. Usually I think light greys are pretty difficult to pull off. But after I’ve seen the result on this picture, I know I need to get it, even though I’m pretty late in joining in the frenzy… Gorgeous.
